The Municipality of Neebing Public Works department is responsible for winter maintenance on our municipal roads following our snow and ice clearing policy. To provide effective and efficient response to winter storm events, Council adopted the Road Maintenance Policy to define levels of service during winter weather in our community.
The Ontario Ministry of Transportation and their maintenance contractors are responsible for snow clearing services for Highways 61, 608, 593, 595 and 597. Contact Emcon Services Inc. at 1-888-636-8704 to report highway road issues. Current Provincial highway road conditions are available online 24/7 through the Ontario 511 Traveller Information website.
Residents and property owners are prohibited from placing snow moved from private property on any portion of a municipal road. Any person who places snow on the municipal roadway will be responsible for all associated costs should damage to vehicles or other occur as a result.
