There are support services available to citizens of Neebing who are in need of a helping hand.
The Rural Cupboard Food Bank is a non-profit volunteer run organization. They deliver 70-100 food hampers a month to families in need. Donations of non-perishable food items can be made at the Neebing Municipal Office. Visit the Rural Cupboard Food Bank website for more information.
The District of Thunder Bay Social Services Administration Board (TBDSSAB) manages vital social services for individuals and families living in the Municipality of Neebing. TBDSSAB services include financial assistance, housing and child care.
The Blessing Box program operates out of various donated spaces and runs solely on the help of businesses and volunteers. This program is organized through Giant Hearts based in Thunder Bay. Boxes are filled with non-perishable items and other household staples. The boxes are placed in discreet areas of public buildings to ensure the safety and privacy of those people in need of help. For more information on the Blessing Box, or to find out how you can help, please contact Giant Hearts through their Facebook page.
In the summer of 2020, a Blessing Box will be located in Neebing at Fire Hall #1 on the corner of Highway 61 and Highway 608.
