The Municipality of Neebing owns and operates the Cloud Bay (Crooks) Cemetery. Our cemetery offers traditional graves surrounded by modest maintained grounds.

  • 103 Cloud River Road East, Neebing, ON

Hours

  • The cemetery is open to the public on a daily basis, year round.

Eligibility

  • Only past and present residents of Neebing and their immediate family members may purchase cemetery plots.

Tariff of rates for the Cloud Bay (Crooks) Cemetery

Plot sales

  • Plot 4' x 8' $340

Open and close service

  • Urn $200
  • Full Burial $300

Installation of markers

  • Flat marker under 172 square inches $no cost
  • Flat marker over 172 square inches $100
  • Upright monument up to 4 feet in height or width $200
  • Upright monument over 4 feet in height or width $400

Cemetery By-law

The Cloud Bay (Crooks) Cemetery By-law was approved by Municipality of Neebing Council.

Cemeteries are legislated under the Ontario Cemeteries Act. The Act empowers cemetery operators with the authority to set specific By-laws for the operation of their cemeteries.

Frequently asked questions:

How many burials are allowed in a plot?

Up to three burials are allowed in each plot depending on the type of interment. One full burial and 2 urns are allowed or 3 urn burials.

When is the cemetery open?

The cemetery is open to the public on a daily basis, year round.

Can we drive into the cemetery?

Yes, there are access roads within the cemetery grounds.

Can artificial flowers be placed on grave sites?

Artificial arrangements are permitted from October 1st to April 30th.

Who is responsible for repairing sunken graves and markers?

The municipal groundskeeper handles all grave and marker maintenance.

How would I find a specific grave site?

The Neebing Municipal Office manages the records for all grave sites.
