The Municipality of Neebing has restrictions in place prohibiting heavy vehicles on municipal roadways.
It is normal for spring thaw conditions to warrant weight restrictions on municipal roads. Such restrictions may be imposed at any time when the thaw starts and will continue to be in place until the frost has left the roadbed. Historically, restrictions are in place from approximately mid-March to mid-June annually. Changes in the freeze/thaw patterns may lengthen or shorten this time frame. It is the Working Roads Foreman who will make the call on the duration of the load restrictions. Monitor this website and Neebing's Facebook page for updates and information on load restrictions.
No person shall operate a vehicle having a registered gross vehicle weight of greater than 25,000 kilograms on roads having a chip seal surface without first obtaining a municipal licence and permit. By-law 2012-944 includes details on the system for the application, approval and exemptions of licencing and permits to haul on chip seal surfaced roadways.
