The Path of the Paddle Association has launched an overview map covering its 1,100-kilometre recreational route beginning at Fort William Historical Park traversing all the way to the Whiteshell Provincial Park located in southeastern Manitoba. The route winds its way through wilderness as well as some Northwestern Ontario communities including Neebing.

Ontario public health unit regions allowed to move into Stage 2 as of Friday, June 12, 2020 include the Thunder Bay District Health Unit region. This includes the Municipality of Neebing.

Effective 12:01 am Saturday May 30, the Municipality of Neebing will lift the Restricted Fire Zone consistent with the decision made by the Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry to lift the fire ban in the Northwest Region.
Please continue to practice fire safety and reduce our risk of forest fires.

In September, a survey was circulated regarding Council Composition. Since that survey was released, it has been proposed that Neebing Council be reduced to 5 members by removing the seat for Councillor-at-Large and having one seat for Pardee and Pearson combined. The Blake, Crooks and Scoble Wards would remain the same.
