TEMPORARY 48-HOUR FIRE BAN TO BE IMPLEMENTED

Neebing Fire Chief Mark Shruiff will be implementing a municipal-wide fire ban starting at 12:01 a.m. Monday, May 11 and ending at 12:01 a.m. Wednesday, May 13, 2026. This temporary 48-hour ban is intended to reduce the risk of fire incidents during the emergency closure of Sturgeon Bay Road. To maintain response readiness, Neebing Emergency Services will position essential personnel and equipment east of the closure, providing coverage to the Margaret Street, Island Avenue, Sturgeon Bay Road, and Mink Mountain Drive locations. All valid burning permits will become suspended once the fire ban is in place and will be reinstated when the ban is lifted. There will be no need to reapply. Chief Shruiff thanks residents for their cooperation and understanding during this period.
