Budgets

The municipal budget lays out the financial plan for local services. Budget talks are usually held during the first part of the year. Council encourages public input into the budget

An independent company audits the Neebing financial statements each year. Below are the audited statements:

The Province of Ontario provides a Common Language Guide to Financial Statements. That guide may be useful when examining Neebing's Statements.

Asset Management Plans

Asset management planning fosters sustainable renewal and replacement of capital assets. Neebing's asset management plan follows strategic goals and guides our long-term budget decisions. Neebing's Asset Management Plan is found on our Plans, Reports and Studies page.

Capital Plan

The ten year capital plan is updated annually in the Fall. The capital plan is used for planning purposes and is used as a guideline when the Neebing's Budget is set each Spring. This planning document is subject to change, and the projects listed on the plan may or may not go ahead in the year indicated. Reserve Funds

Financing for future purchases requires savings which are called reserve funds. One reserve fund is the Tax Rate Stabilization Reserve Fund. A report about Reserve Funds and the use of the Tax Rate Stabilization Reserve was presented to Council on June 3, 2026 and Council directed it be made available on the website.
