Candidate & Third Party Advertisers Information Session – June 10, 2026

The Municipality of Neebing, in partnership with the Ministry of Municipal Affairs and Housing (MMAH) and area municipalities, invites residents to attend a Candidate & Third Party Advertisers Information Session in advance of the 2026 Municipal and School Board Elections.

The session will take place on Wednesday, June 10, 2026, from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Kakabeka Legion, 4556 Highway 11/17. There is no charge to attend.

This information session is designed for anyone who is considering running for municipal or school board office, is already a candidate, or is interested in becoming a Third Party Advertiser. The evening will feature a presentation by MMAH, followed by a question-and-answer period.

Topics to be covered include:

• Roles and responsibilities of council and municipal staff
• The nomination process
• Campaign period rules
• Municipal finance and financial reporting requirements
• Candidate duties and responsibilities
• Third party advertising regulations

This session provides an excellent opportunity to learn about the election process directly from MMAH and to ask questions in an informal setting.

Residents interested in participating in the democratic process are strongly encouraged to attend.
