Little Trout Bay Fish Derby - 2026
The Municipality of Neebing and the Lakehead Region Conservation Authority have joined together once again to host the Little Trout Bay Fish Derby.
This is a one day event being held on Saturday, August 22, 2026 at the Little Trout Bay Conservation Area. The derby will run from 8:00 am to 3:00 pm.
Winners will be based on the cumulative weight of the "two-best" fish.

- Lake Trout
- Whitefish
- Salmon
Prizes
- 1st Place: $1,000
- 2nd Place: $600
- 3rd Place: $400

Registration
Registration OPENS on July 11, 2026 and CLOSES on August 17, 2026.
This derby is open to all persons 13 years of age or older at the time of registration. Individuals under the age of 18 need a parent/guardian to sign-off on the registration in order to participate.

Cost is $120 per team of two individuals. Cash only. Launch fee included.

Anglers will have the option to donate a 1" x 3" sample of their fish, taken from behind the dorsal fin, to be tested for contaminants by the Ministry of Environment, Conservation and Parks.
