Senior's Resource Guide
St Joseph's Care Group has published the Seniors Resource Guide to help older adults and their care partners navigate local programs, services, and supports available to them in and around our community.
The guide has sections on helpful topics along with additional resources that is designed to help older adults explore a range of available supports that may suit their unique needs including:

Age Well Handbook
Age Friendly Thunder Bay has a resource guide geared to improve older adult safety. It was prepared by the Elder Abuse Prevention Committee.
Topics covered include:

-potential frauds and scams targeting seniors

What can you do to prevent falls?
Falls usually happen because of the combined effects of a number of factors such as loss of balance, slow reflexes, side effects of medicine, impaired mobility or vision, and environmental hazards.
Simple home modifications and exercises that improve strength and balance can help reduce the risk of falling.
