Emergency Services Volunteers

Neebing Emergency Services (NES) operates under the principle of neighbours helping neighbours. Our volunteers are the heart and soul of our organization.

Become a Volunteer

NES volunteers provide fire and pre-ambulance emergency medical care to the residents of The Municipality of Neebing. Consider becoming part of our team.

Hiring requirements:

  • Age and Status: You are 18+ years of age and legally entitled to work in Canada
  • Driver's Licence: You have a valid Ontario Class G licence required with DZ training/licensing an asset.
  • Record Check: You have the ability to provide a clear criminal record and vulnerable sector check
  • Residency: You live in the Municipality of Neebing in the Blake, Scoble, Crooks, Pardee, or Pearson wards

Your commitment:

  • Training: You are available 4 evenings per month for training plus 2 weekends per year for training/recertification
  • Calls: You are available to respond to emergencies in Neebing which may include weekends, and holidays.
  • Community Events & Prevention: You are willing to attend open houses, participate with smoke alarm campaigns, assist with Fire Hall maintenance, etc.

Our commitment:

  • Training: We provide firefighter training to Provincial and NFPA standards
  • Equipment/PPE: We provide gear and equipment to support the safe conduct of duties
  • Calls: We provide the opportunity to actively participate in emergency response activities in our community
